Cancellation and refunds

Each owner sets their own cancellation policy.

The cancellation policy is displayed on each listing before confirming your booking.
Refund conditions vary by owner and cancellation timing.
In case of unfavorable weather or exceptional circumstances, arrangements can be made between the renter and owner.
Service fees may be refunded according to the applicable policy.

Some owners require a deposit to cover potential damages.

The amount is pre-authorized on your card 48 hours before the rental — no charge is made.
If everything goes well, the deposit is automatically released 48 hours after the rental ends.
In case of damage, the owner can claim part or all of the deposit through the platform.
The deposit amount is displayed on the listing before booking.

Your transactions are secured from start to finish.

All payments are processed by Stripe, a global leader in secure payments.
Your card is pre-authorized at the time of the request — no charge until the owner accepts.
The owner receives payment only after the rental is completed.
In case of a dispute, our team intervenes to find a fair solution.

What you need to know about coverage and documents to sign.

Reecreo does not provide insurance directly. Owners are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is covered for rental.
We recommend renters verify their personal coverage before each rental.
A liability waiver is signed electronically before each rental to protect both parties.
For watercraft, a safety checklist compliant with Transport Canada standards is also required.
